Terms of Use

The DIC website (dic-healthcare.jp/en) is operated by DIC Corporation. Please read and agree to these terms of use before using the DIC website. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the DIC website. By accessing the DIC website, you are deemed to have agreed to comply with these terms of use, as well as with applicable laws and regulations. DIC reserves the right to modify these terms of use at any time without prior notice. It is the responsibility of the user to periodically check the latest terms of use.

1. Copyrights, Trademarks and Other Rights

All materials on the DIC website, including but not limited to charts, graphs, illustrations, photographs, text, files, programs, images, corporate logos, product logos, trademarks and certification marks issued by other groups or organizations (collectively, “Content”), are protected by copyright, trademark and other applicable laws and regulations, and the rights to and authority over their use are held by DIC. Use of the Content, including but not limited to application, copying, distribution, reproduction, transfer, modification and sale, is prohibited without the prior written consent of DIC. This restriction does not apply to duplication, citation or other use of the Content for personal or noncommercial purposes, either within the home or in a similarly limited scope, which are clearly allowed under applicable laws and regulations, but DIC cannot guarantee that use of the Content in such a manner does not infringe upon the rights of third parties. In this case, the provisions outlined in “03 Disclaimer” below shall apply.

Websites of independent third parties may be linked to or from the DIC website (collectively, “Linked Sites”). Linked Sites are managed by their respective owners and are not under the control of DIC. The use of Linked Sites is subject to the terms of use applicable to those sites. DIC is not liable for the content of Linked Sites or for any damages that may arise in connection with their use.
Links to the DIC website do not constitute an endorsement by DIC of the use of Linked Sites or of the products, services, companies and other items appearing on Linked Sites. Such links also do not denote any alliance or other special relationship between DIC and the Linked Sites.

3. Disclaimer

DIC reserves the right at any time and without notice to carry out any of the actions set forth below. DIC shall in no way be liable for any damages incurred as a result of any of these actions.

Add, remove or modify information published on or available through the DIC website.
Suspend or discontinue operation of the DIC website.

DIC makes no representations or warranties by publishing the DIC website and shall in no way be liable for any problems, losses or damages, such as the malfunctioning of computers, peripheral equipment or network systems, incurred either directly or indirectly, as a consequence of accessing the DIC website, or from use of any information published on or available through the DIC website, with respect to factors including, but not limited to, the following:

The accuracy, timeliness, completeness and noninfringement on third-party rights of information published on or available through the DIC website;

Any materials or information that you post, propose or otherwise provide to the DIC website (collectively, “Supplied Information”), with the exception of personal information, which is covered by the DIC Group Privacy Policy, shall be treated as nonconfidential. The provision of Supplied Information means that you agree in advance to the free use thereof by DIC, as well as by its affiliated companies, and guarantee that this will not infringe on the rights of any third parties.

5. Personal Data

DIC manages personal data in line with the DIC Group Privacy Policy, which is posted separately on the website. Please read the DIC Group Privacy Policy carefully and agree to the conditions set forth therein before using the services provided by the DIC website.

6. Governing Laws and Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the use of the DIC website, or with the Content, shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Unless otherwise specified, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
