LINABLUE® – our Spirulina blue plant-derived colorant
LINABLUE® is a vibrantly colored plant-derived blue colorant for use in food, produced from a type of protein in DIC Spirulina called phycocyanin that acts as a blue pigment. Like chlorophyll and carotenoids, phycocyanin contributes to photosynthesis and plays a vital role in supporting life. The sheer vibrancy of its sky-blue hue, which may look unlikely to be a plant-based color, is irresistible to the eye. Animal feed
