To deliver safe and high-quality products to our customers,
we are working to maintain and improve the quality of health foods.
1. Product development pursuing quality
- Based on the ISO 9001* design and development process, we repeatedly verify design validation and design adequacy,
we develop products that comply with customer requirements and legal regulations. - For each product, we conduct stability tests during storage and check for quality changes within the shelf life.
- We also perform detailed checks on product containers and packaging, and use those confirmed to be safe.
- From the perspective of customers who enjoy our products, we carry out formulation design (size, taste, smell).
- We do this while keeping the customer viewpoint in mind.
*ISO 9001: An international standard for quality management systems aimed at improving customer satisfaction through consistent provision of products and services.
2. Selection of high-quality raw materials
Our proprietary raw materials, Spirulina and Phycocyanin (Spirulina blue), have been used as ingredients in health foods and food products for over 40 years.
The raw materials used in our products are investigated for manufacturing methods, components, and hygiene standards, and compliance with Japanese food laws is confirmed.
3. Manufactured in domestically certified factories with established quality control systems
DIC’s health foods are manufactured in domestic factories that have obtained the “Health Supplement GMP*” certification, which is a manufacturing standard to maintain quality, as well as the international quality standard FSSC22000 (or ISO9001).
*Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP): Manufacturing process management standards to ensure that products are made “safely” and that “consistent quality” is maintained.
4. Thorough quality control
We have established a quality assurance system using various methods throughout all processes from product development to sales and have conducted rigorous product inspections over many years. We conduct checks on many quality items at the time of raw material acceptance and during manufacturing.

Weight, size, hardness, disintegration, appearance, etc. - Component analysis
- Microbiological testing
- Testing for harmful substances
