Spirulina quality control

Spirulina quality control

In-house production commitment

DIC owns one of the world’s largest proprietary farms located in California, USA, and Hainan Island, China. At our proprietary farms, where no pesticides are used, we cultivate and produce spirulina. DIC Spirulina uses only strains of algae whose safety and effectiveness have been confirmed through extensive research conducted at universities, hospitals, and public institutions.

There are species of blue green algae that produce toxins called microcystins, but DIC Spirulina conducts strict quality control through strain selection and cultivation techniques to ensure that these harmful substances do not occur or mix in.

DIC Spirulina’s Quality Control

Our company consistently conducts safety tests at public institutions from Spirulina cultivation to the final product, accumulating extensive data from the perspective of “providing products that customers can use with confidence.” DIC Group employees are stationed at our own farm to responsibly manage production, and strict quality control standards are also established within the DIC Group to conduct acceptance quality inspections.
The spirulina produced in our own factory is manufactured at our facility, which has received FSSC22000 and ISO-9001 certification for its quality assurance system that manages quality from the receipt of raw materials to the shipment of finished products.

Efforts to Deliver Reliable Quality

DIC Spirulina conducts component analysis and safety tests at its own farms and DIC’s internal inspection departments, performing stringent quality evaluations. Only those products that meet safety standards and product specifications are delivered to customers.
